#1 · Jul 23, 2018 This car is rated at 19 mpg city, 26mpg highway, which is meh, but ok, it makes sense for a performance car, no complaints here. My commute is about the worst for getting any reasonable mileage. It's about 5 miles stop and go city driving starting from a cold engine.

I'm convinced that most cars today do better on fuel economy because their engines are so incredibly down tuned. The 2023 Rav 4 has a 2.5L that only churns out 200 HP with 180 LB-FT of torque. That'll get around 28 mpg combined.
